Beyond Occupation

In November and December of last year, a nationally coordinated campaign was undertaken by mayors from around the country to end the occupations in their various cities. Violent evictions from public spaces ensued in every corner of the United States, all justified along similar lines: the camps were unsanitary, unsafe, and a public nuisance. What are the ramifications of this for a movement that has so closely identified itself with the tactic of occupation? What changes to movement culture, and movement goals, have emerged in the wake of eviction?
